The Lynch Multimedia Shakespeare adaptations aim to assist reluctant readers and struggling pupils. The chapter headings correspond to the scenes e.g. Book One Chapter 1 is Act 1 Scene 1 and so on.

If you are reading (or listening) for coursework then we suggest you read a scene in the original text prior to reading the same scene here, and then reread the original. These adaptations may help you as long as you bear in mind you haven’t ‘read’ Shakespeare but hopefully a door has been opened, even if ever so slightly.

Resist the temptation to dismiss Shakespeare because it’s compulsory and you think its boring anyway. You can acquire a taste for Shakespeare rather unexpectedly!
